Collaboration between Pitt and University of Puerto Rico

Vice Provost of Graduate Studies Amanda Godley (second from left) led a delegation from the University of Pittsburgh on a visit with the Chancellor of the Medical Sciences Campus (MSC) of the University of Puerto Rico, Dr. Myrna L. Quiñones Feliciano (seated at head of table).

The group visited the campus with a view to establishing agreements for academic collaborations and alliances for research between both institutions.

Also participating in the meeting were sociology professor Fernando Tormos-Aponte (fourth from left) and chemistry professor Kazunori Koide (third from left), from the University of Pittsburgh.

For the MSC, the Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Yasmín Pedrogo; the interim deans of the Schools of Health Professions, Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy; Drs. Lourdes Soto de Laurido, Debora Silva, Ailen Torres and Wanda Maldonado, respectively; and Dr. Sherily Pereira, representing the interim dean of Nursing Dr. Milagros Figueroa, participated on behalf of the MSC
